New Mexico 2nd Place Women's 6K Championship Race - Nuttycombe Wisconsin Cross Country Invitational 2022

New Mexico had five scorers in the top 26 of the women's 6-kilometer championship race at the 13th Nuttycombe Wisconsin Cross Country Invitational at the Thomas Zimmer Championship course in Madison. The Lobos finished in an 80-80 tie with North Carolina State, but the Wolfpack prevailed based on head-to-head advantages at the first, second and fourth positions, denying New Mexico a fourth Nuttycombe team title. Samree Dishon earned eighth for the Lobos, clocking 20:06.0, followed by Gracelyn Larkin in ninth in 20:06.3. Amelia Mazza-Downie finished 12th in 20:08.1, with Elise Thorner placing 25th in 20:18.0 and Emma Heckel securing 26th in 20:18.4. Abbe Goldstein was 42nd in 20:28.5, Danielle Verster achieved 77th in 20:43.0 and Ali Upshaw took 152nd in 21:14.1 for the Lobos.
